Inspired by the ridges of Mount Sefuri, which can be seen from Matsuzaki's studio in Itoshima, he created the 3-D models with generative algorithms, using tools such as Grashopper and Rhino.
The different material textures and colors turn the renders into beautiful spaces that cannot be seen in the real world.

Hirofumi Matsuzaki was born in Itoshima, Japan, and studied art at Hiroshima City University and Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany). He has held exhibitions in Japan, Germany, Mexico, France, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Singapore.
After experiencing artist-in-residence programs in various locations over the world, Matsuzaki started his own art company in his hometown Itoshima, with a residence program of his own. Studio Kura now runs two different residence programs in Japan, and also offers digital and traditional art lessons for both children and adults at 15 locations, plus online.
Matsuzaki also started FabLab Itoshima to make a self-fabrication environment available to anyone in the Itoshima area.
